Research Goodies, martial arts, YouTube is as bad as Wiki, I swear

I’d been thinking that I should look into Dance’s family background as a Korean doll and character in modern life. While I know a little about other cultures in Asia from on-going interests such as penjing and bonsai, or from falling into Wkipedia for way too long, I have not been seeing much about Korea outside the bjd doll sites have to say about culture and costuming. Those of you who are Korean-Americans, feel free to point out a few things if you like.
I was expecting music. What I found the most was a lot of stuff on martial arts styles.
If you want a mashup that seems way more appropriate than I was expecting, try the Pachelbel Canon in D. With added dub.
Watching Kim Il Jung’s bodyguards talk about Jung’s girlfriends is possibly one of the creepier things I’ve ever seen, so I’ll skip that. Of course they think they can top anybody, if they can break 11 bricks at a time.
If you get the sense that some of the Russian bodyguards on YouTube would probably sneer about picking the right moment to do so, you’d be right. So you get the idea.
Ho hum, aren’t there pills for all that overload?
Anyway, then I saw girly pretty. I ran up against a few things that look way too familiar, for those of you who happen to know the books that have the original character of Naga Teot.
Then of course I wandered off away from the Korean stuff completely. The shiny!
This one is not in English. Never mind, the gestures are clear enough.
More slow careful demos, nice and clear.
While this one was silly, it’s also bloody impressive.
There’s also all kinds of of vids of nito tournaments, Japanese two-sword technique that I believe uses the same sort of practice with rattan blades as regular sword practices. I’d suggest hunting for the higher ratings among those, and it would be a wild guess on my part to suggest anything like skill levels.
