Research Goodies, Music, Melissa Give Such Good Road Trip

Well, I wondered what the story would tell me when the sound track should be this song.
I didn’t get story on this one. Just appreciation of the music.
Curiously, on the way to finding that one, I found a couple of others of Melissa’s that I think well worth consideration. Ones that they have disabled the embedding code for.
Her song “I Need to Wake Up” for the movie “An Inconvenient Truth” won her an Oscar.
She’s succeeded at a lot of music industry high bars, and also succeeded in helping a lot of people.
If nothing else, the musicians out there would applaud her rock-solid sense of what matters, cutting staight to the bone in her lyrics. Ahh, but did you know about the musicianship?
As Wikipedia notes, in 2001, she won the Gibson Guitar Award for Best Rock Guitarist: Female.

Yes, that plea could apply to any number of situations along with our silly drive to burn carbon-based fuels. There’s so many better things we could be doing with hydrocarbons. Perhaps I’m biased, but how about more dolls? Possibly in a type of resin that isn’t quite so dangerous to the workers would be nice… we could do some research on that, you know.
Of course any musician at this level has put a lot rubber on the road.
Of course you can hear it in her songs.
She was touring with biodiesel lately, per Wikipedia’s sources.
So she knows from road trips. The link goes to a copy of her original vid, I think.
Embedding has been disabled on it.

A lovely version of that with Amy Grant, here.

Whereas this one made me laugh rather a lot. She likes to bury the kicker at the ends of the verses…
